As I read this book, I couldn't help but be a little awed by it. It felt like something important, something epic in value. It's the hero's journey, and the whole story reverberates with significance and emotional power. It's sweeping and huge and wonderful. My only reserve in recommending it is that it contains a significant amount of strong profanity.

This was a wonderful journey of self discovery for the main characer, MIM (Mary Iris Malone). She has such an honest voice that the reader really connects to her. The author's gift for storytelling is inspiring and addictive. You don't want to put this book down because you to know what is going to happen next in this crazy adventure. I highly recommend this book, but beware of the foul language. If that turns you off as a reader, then this book is not for you.

This book was a wonderful journey. I could feel every emotion that Mim felt as she crossed the country in order to see her sick mother. The way that Mim tells the story makes this book even better than just a great plot.

I am excited to hear from the OHS students, faculty, and staff about what books they have read and their thoughts on those books.... Archives
