Rook is intriguing and dangerous. I love the world building and romance. The politics of the Sunken City and the Commonwealth are really interesting and well written. The setting draws a lot from the French Revolution, but not in a way that feels like you are reading from a textbook. Also Sophia and Rene are serious goals, just saying.

Okay, Sharon Cameron has become one of my favorite authors pretty quickly because she's always full of surprises. Her books are so fun and exciting, but I also never know which way they're going to turn. And she has a cool way of blending history with other genres. Definitely read this book!

Mrs. Hays (my fellow "book whisperer") and I love talking about books we have read -- the good, the bad, and the ugly! I am excited to hear from the OHS students, faculty, and staff about what books they have read and their thoughts on those books.... Archives
